With just over a month until the planned resumption of the NRL competition, we continue our look at the five players we'd bring back from a club's history.

When making these decisions, we're not just picking the five best players from the club. We're picking players who would slot into the current squad to help deliver a premiership.

For instance Laurie Dailey and Mal Meninga would be the first two players picked, but the Raiders have a weaponary centre pairing and an Origin level five-eighth, whereas a club legend could replace a rookie winger.

As always, please let us know who you would bring back to take the Raiders that one result further:.

5. David Furner

Rounding out the almost Premiership certainty Green Machine is another personal favourite of mine in David Furner.

He would slot into the second row with Elliot Whitehead with John Bateman's return from injury creating an all star second row rotation.

200 games for the Raiders, 11 caps for the Blues and 2 for the national side, Furner is probably best remembered for his goal kicking accuracy from the second row. He incredibly scored 78 tries across his 300 games and was an elite level second rower.

As tough as they come and shockingly fleet of foot for a man of his size, Furner is an iconic member of the Raiders 90's history. He even won a Clive Churchill medal in the Raiders 1994 title win.

Better know to younger fans as a coach, those of us pushing our mid 30s will surely remember the iconic headband and take no prisoners defence.
