We continue our which five former players we'd bring back series with the Canterbury Bulldogs.

For those who have missed previous editions, these are players who have stared for the club in the past who would fit into the modern day side to assist them in their journey towards an NRL title.

As I'm in my mid 30s, I'm keeping to players who I've largely seen, and also not including current players who have moved on. Recently retired players won't be considered either. Therefore the likes of Mortimer and Folkes missed out based purely on my not seeing them play live.

3. Michael Ennis

I'm going to ever so slightly alter my five year rule here but the Bulldogs need a number nine in exactly the Michael Ennis mould. Plus it has been a big week so I'll allow it.

The Dogs made a horror decision in 2014 when they signed young Michael Lichaa at the expense of Michael Ennis. Since then they have been largely toothless in the now critical number nine.

Ennis brings an aggression, a talent, and a leadership ability sorely lacking in the current Blue and white crop. He ended his career with a title at the Sharks after becoming a club and fan favourite within the first half of football he played.

Ennis spent most of his career trading rep honours at state level with Robbie Farah and stuck behind future immortal Cameron Smith, but nothing should take away from his abilities. No one player, even on this list, would much as big of an impact so quickly as the returning Ennis.
