Super League team Hull Kingston Rovers have signed former Rooster and Cowboy centre Kane Linnett on a three-year deal.

The 29 year-old has a premiership to his name when the Cowboys beat the Broncos in 2015.

He played 164 for North Queensland but decided to leave the club in order to move to the Super League.

"I always wanted to finish my career in the Super League," Linnett told hullkr.co.uk.

"I'm excited to get over there, meet a new bunch of boys, get settled in, work hard and hopefully have a good year."

Linnett has faced Super League team, Leeds, with the Cowboys in the past, when North Queensland won by 34 points in the World Club Challenge in 2016. He was also part of the Scotland set up under former coach Steve McCormack.

"Having a senior role, I've got a lot of experience in the NRL so I'd like to help some of the younger boys through," Linnett said.

"It would be great to win a Super League title. I've played a couple of finals in the NRL, so that would be the ultimate achievement."

Linnett has played 185 in the NRL and has scored 58 tries in his career.
