Will Hopoate is thought to be reconsidering his stance around playing football on Sundays in a bid to better position himself for his next contract.
When he signed a contract with the Bulldogs, the club and Hopoate agreed he would train or play on Sundays.
"I understand that Des or the club could have said no without hesitation," Hopoate told the Daily Telegraph at the time.
"But for him to understand and he’s told me this, that he recognises this is what gets me going, what makes me happy — living my beliefs. I’m very grateful for that."
Hopoate is currently sidelined for the next month with a fractured eye socket but his return could be further delayed with the Bulldogs set to play a number of Sunday games around his scheduled return.
The Sydney Morning Herald is now reporting that Hopoate might now be considering relaxing that view in a bid to bolster his next contract. His current Bulldogs contract is thought to only be $150,000, a figure that takes into account his decision to not play on Sundays.
Should he decide to start playing football on Sunday's again, his value would no doubt go up.
