Trent Hodkinson has said that he isnโ€™t worried about his demotion to the reserves and believes he can prove that he deserves a recall to the Sea Eagles' first team.

The 30-year-old played in the five-eighth position during the Blacktown Workers 18-all draw with the Warriors.

โ€œIt was just to sort of blow the cobwebs out a bit,โ€ he told Andrew Jackson at NSWRL.com.au.

โ€œI havenโ€™t had a full game yet. I only got 13 minutes in the first game against the Tigers in the first grade off the bench.

โ€œItโ€™s all about getting a run and feel for it.โ€

Hodkinson may need to continue to wait to be recalled after Manly won their first game of the season over the Warriors 46-12.

While this may be a setback for him, he says his teammates deserve the success.

โ€œIโ€™m not worried at all,โ€ he said.

โ€œIโ€™m just going to continue to work hard and the rest will look after itself; thereโ€™s no point stressing about it.

โ€œI was just happy for the club to get a win and for all the boys to be rewarded for a tough pre-season.โ€

Manly continue their campaign against the undefeated Rabbitohs on Saturday.
