Wow. How bad are the knights.
I had them in the top 6 at the start of the year especially with that roster. Now they are my pick for the spoon.
Agree Kev. Nathan Brown will be gone in 3 weeks. Too many players in the team playing for $$ and not the region.
I live in Newcastle but canโt stand the knights, but even I had them near the top of table, but they were bad, real bad today, and havenโt been good all year. Brown wonโt see the year out surely.
Yeah im from maitland . And I agree with Bob . The ponga hype around newcastle is extreme . I love when they lose , no ponga this ponga that for a week.
Ponga has his moments and is a good player but personally I don’t think he is anywhere near as good as some make him out to be.
Some commentators think he is the 2nd coming and the next JT but he is far from that and all of the pressure and expectation to be the next big thing isn’t doing him any favors.
Sometimes if a club has an exceptional player, the rest of the team thinks he will win them the games. So they just don’t do their own jobs. It may be a bit of that with Ponga.
Andrew Johns thinks they are trying to pass their way through oppositions. The forwards other than Klemmer are just not running hard enough. They are not getting the ball out to the likes of Ramien quick enough & allowing these backs the opportunity to make breaks.
I think there is a lot of truth in that.
