80' - QLD 26 - NSW 18
The Maroons have done it! What a win in Game 1.
77' - QLD 26 - NSW 18
Holmes misses the conversion.
76' - QLD 26 - NSW 18
The Maroons! They throw up a bomb, and Lindsay Collins outjumps James Tedesco before passing away to Munster who puts the icing on the cake for the Queenslanders.
75' - QLD 22 - NSW 18
NSW knock on attempting a short kick-off.
75' - QLD 22 - NSW 18
Holmes converts.
74' - QLD 20 - NSW 18
So, David Fifita is out in the centres now with Queensland in all sorts and playing with 12. This game has had it all, but now, Munster skips to the outside, finds Tabuai-Fidow on the sideline and he will run all the way to score with Tedesco slipping over.
Embarrassing from the Blues.
73' - QLD 16 - NSW 18
The Maroons can't make anything out of their attacking set, and then Cleary will clear with a kick out of his own 40 for the Blues, with the Maroons to then spread it out of their own end.
We now have time off and Murray Taulagi will have to go for a HIA.
70' - QLD 16 - NSW 18
It's all happening here! Tom Trbojevic is out with a category 1 concussion, Flegler is in the bin for a high shot, the Maroons get the ball back from a short drop out and then a penalty to work it out of their own end.
69' - QLD 16 - NSW 18
Tom Flegler on report here for a high shot. And not just that! He has been sin binned.
67' - QLD 16 - NSW 18
Cleary converts! Blues hit the front.
66' - QLD 16 - NSW 16
The Blues attack continues to be clunky here, getting to the past play. Cleary has to stop to catch that before kicking, it ends in a challenge, out the back and Stephen Crichton scores. This will need to be checked. It touched plenty of hands in the air.
Looks like Valentine Holmes was the one who got a hand to it, knocking the ball on, and the try has been confirmed.
65' - QLD 16 - NSW 12
The Blues must be next to score, and they have a chance right here with six again inside 20. Cobbo almost comes up with an intercept that would have sent him 90 metres to score there too but just puts it down. Blues will have another fresh set off the scrum.
63' - QLD 16 - NSW 12
Well, that will let the Blues back into the game. Cherry-Evans drops a ball cold just short of halfway.
60' - QLD 16 - NSW 12
Queensland have certainly gone up a gear here at the moment and hold the ascendancy of this game with a four-point lead as we head into the final 20 minutes.
58' - QLD 16 - NSW 12
Holmes slots the conversion.
56' - QLD 14 - NSW 12
Queensland back on the attack after a Pangai Junior error here as they look to push back into the lead. A lovely catch and pass from Walsh with the cut out ball to Cobbo and he is over for a double! Poor defence again from the Blues, but masterful attack from Grant and Cherry-Evans for Walsh in the middle.
Cobbor beat Luai and Tedesco, then managed to ground it before sliding touch in goal.
51' - QLD 10 - NSW 12
The Blues attack ends with a bit of nothing on a grubber, then it erupts again with Martin and Collins in the thick of it, but no punches thrown, a bit of a push and shove and we should get back to the game.
Well, replays will show a swinging arm from Luai on the ground against Cotter, before Luai was pulled off the challenge by his hair. No penalty and we will get on with the game.
49' - QLD 10 - NSW 12
Tyson Frizell I would imagine is about to go off for a HIA here, although not for the moment after a head clash. It comes with another Queensland error on the left hand side.
47' - QLD 10 - NSW 12
The drop-a-thon that is Origin 1 continues. Lindsay Collins with a bad drop just a few metres out right in front of the sticks here for the Maroons.
46' - QLD 10 - NSW 12
Cherry-Evans! 40/20! What a kick that was.
45' - QLD 10 - NSW 12
Cleary converts.
44' - QLD 10 - NSW 10
Well that has come out of absolutely nowhere! The Maroons were working it out of their own end, Valentine Holmes went for an offload, Reuben Cotter then fumbled it and Koroisau pounced to run away and score.
Awarded on field but this needs some checking. It looks as if Koroisau may have knocked that backwards before it spewed out to Cotter, with the hooker then scoring.
Try confirmed!
41' - QLD 10 - NSW 6
Back underway in the second half at the Adelaide Oval. The Blues have had 56 per cent of the ball, so it'll be interesting to see exactly how fatigued the Maroons are here.
In good news for the Queenslanders, David Fifita is back on the park as the Blues kick us back off.
Halftime - QLD 10 - NSW 6
The Maroons aren't able to get too far out of their own end, and the Blues will have a full set before halftime to go 70 metres and try to take the lead. Back over halfway on the third, but then Cleary loses it under pressure from Ben Hunt.
The Maroons rush to pack a scrum, Munster kicks and that will do us for the first stanza as Tedesco dives on the ball.
38' - QLD 10 - NSW 6
A captain's challenge here. The Blues put a kick up towards the posts, and in the air, it was ruled to be ultimately be a handover for the Blues after Tom Trbojevic came up with possession.
The Blues have challenged it, believing there is a knock on from Queensland, but no angles show that to be the case, so the Maroons will work it out of their own end.
37' - QLD 10 - NSW 6
More scrappy play here from the Blues, but they will be invited back onto the attack here after the Maroons allow a penalty. New South Wales have dominated field position for the last 15 or so minutes.
33' - QLD 10 - NSW 6
Cleary converts.
32' - QLD 10 - NSW 4
And now the Blues are over! They head to the left hand side and it's Liam Martin who crashes over off the Penrith combination. Lovely short ball from Nathan Cleary to Jarome Luai and then another to Martin who runs straight through Cotter defending out of position.
32' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Junior Paulo is out there for the Blues now as well and making some big runs. Time off now too and there is another problem for the Maroons' second-row, with David Fifita heading off after his head wore some contact from James Tedesco's shoulder who was attacking.
30' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The game was physical early on, but it's turned into a very stop-start affair here. More errors and the Blues will come back onto the attack in a minute. They need to get their attack right as Cameron Murray comes onto the park - it has been very clunky.
26' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Errors both ways here. The Maroons survive an attacking raid from the Blues and will now look to get back out of their own half.
24' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The Blues attack is an absolute mess here. Horror last tackle option and great defence from Taulagi again to ensure that set doesn't end with a positive for the Blues.
23' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Off to the bunker here. Tyson Frizell claiming a try through a tackle of Murray Taulagi. Up as no try, and it's going to be hard to overrule.
And yes, no try is supported.
22' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The Blues win another penalty here and will have a full set to attack here. In other news, Reuben Cotter is playing on the edge after Tom Gilbert went off with that shoulder injury. Waiting for any updates on that.
Another penalty here too. Sin bin could be getting close.
20' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The Blues now on the attack again off the penalty. Frizell, Cleary and Yeo all go close, then on the last, they go right and Tedesco spectacularly held up after ignoring Addo-Carr. Wonderful scramble defence.
18' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Looks like Queensland have just conceded a penalty for having 14 players on the field after fumbling the interchange of Gilbert going off the park.
17' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Could be the first injury of the night here. Tom Gilbert hanging onto his right shoulder and he goes straight over to the sideline.
Meanwhile, the Blues come back onto the attack again and it's another Nathan Cleary bomb, this time down the centre, but Walsh does a superb job.
14' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The Blues manage to get back into an attacking position after their next set, before a pin-point Nathan Cleary bomb will see Reece Walsh jump from the field of play and be tackled in goal. Drop out coming up.
12' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
Holmes misses the conversion.
10' - QLD 10 - NSW 0
The Maroons are over again! The very next set after scoring and the lead is ballooning here with Selwyn Cobbo going over in the right-hand corner. Tries on both sides for the Maroons.
9' - QLD 6 - NSW 0
Valentine Holmes converts for the Maroons!
8' - QLD 4 - NSW 0
The Maroons with a penalty out of their own end, and on the attack, a lovely grubber from Cameron Munster sends Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow over for the first try of the contest. Plenty of gaps opening up there for the Blues in defence.
6' - QLD 0 - NSW 0
The Blues on the attack here on the back of that penalty, but it's all a little bit flat-footed. Last play though and Cleary kicks crossfield, with passes then trying to keep the ball alive before a forward pass is thrown.
4' - QLD 0 - NSW 0
Queensland's first attack ends miserably with a poor kick from Cameron Munster going crossfield more than it went downfield. Queensland then give away a penalty with the Blues short of halfway, and it's on again with Hudson Young involved against Daly Cherry-Evans with some push and shove as Tom Gilbert also runs in.
3' - QLD 0 - NSW 0
Well it's all on here! The Blues put a kick down to the corner and Walsh was ruled to be tackled in the air despite the fact it appeared Walsh kicked out into Frizell. Then there was plenty of push and shove after Addo-Carr came in and hit Walsh on the ground.
Penalty Queensland.
2' - QLD 0 - NSW 0
The Maroons too come back to about halfway in their first set of the game as things settle into an early rhythm here. Plenty of physicality in defence for both sides.
1' - QLD 0 - NSW 0
And away we go! Tom Trbojevic has the first run of the game, and it's physical early as Pangai Junior gets hammered in the next play. The Blues ultimately have a decent first set to within ten of halfway, and Cleary kicks down to Walsh who catches on the full and carries back into a navy blue wall.
8:07pm
Welcome to Country and national anthem complete. It's time for action!
Queensland to kick-off.
8:03pm
The Maroons made the Blues wait there, but they are finally making their way out at the Adelaide Oval. Close to a full house in as the teams line up for the welcome to country and national anthem.
8pm
Here we go! Teams are on their way out for Game 1 in Adelaide.
7:55pm
Andrew Johns in the Blues sheds says Brad Fittler's final words to his team were "make sure you're physical, stay physical."
This could be on!
7:50pm
Teams are running through their final preparations. We aren't far away from kick-off.
7:30pm
Time for the pre-game entertainment with The Living End headlining. Looks like the crowd is building nicely.
7:25pm
Brad Fittler very happy with his teams preparation during the week, and also says he was expecting Reuben Cotter and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui to start.
The coach thinks kicking at the back end of sets will be the key through Nathan Cleary's boot tonight.
7:20pm
Billy Slater not phased by the Blues picking an aggressive forward pack as his troops warm up in the back ground. He says the Maroons plan on being aggressive as well.
It could be a firey opening, but you have to think Flegler and Collins coming off the bench is the smart play here for coach Slater.
7:10pm
The final teams around out and can be found in the match centre, as well as from the home page of the site, but the big news is that the Maroons have made some positional swaps, with Reuben Cotter and Tino Fa'asuamaleaui to start, while Lindsay Collins and Thomas Flegler come off the bench.
Queensland will be kicking off.
We are 55 minutes from kick-off.
