Former Newcastle Knights star Jarrod Mullen has pleaded not guilty to three counts of  supplying an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug and one count of supplying trafficable quantity of a prohibited drug, as reported by Fox Sports.

He appeared briefly at Newcastle Local Court court today to face the charges where his lawyer Paul McGirr told the court they would be pleading not guilty.

“At this stage I can say that, I just want to see the brief (of evidence),” Mr McGirr said.

Deputy registrar Jason Mortimer adjourned the case to August 8 and continued Mullen’s bail. Mullen allegedly supplied cocaine on four different occasions at Cameron Park near West Wallsend in November 2018.

The 32-year-old is already facing a four-year ban from the NRL for testing positive to steroids in 2017 and is the eighth person to be charged over the alleged cocaine ring.
