The Broncos have enjoyed an improved start to the 2021 season, but with all due respect to Kevin Walters men, they're still far from the finished product.
With major names off contract and plenty of money to spend, the Broncos are set to be a key figure in the player market.
Below are five players I believe the Broncos should target for 2022.
As with previous lists, I'm only mentioning players I can see moving. For the record I don't see Angus Crichton leaving the Roosters so he has not been included.
The Broncos have some pretty handy forwards in Pangai Jr, Carrigan and Haas. All three are young, super talented and have Origin experience, but they lack an experienced pack leader.
Step up the Storm firebrand, Dale Finucane.
If the Origin bench forward isn't snapped up by the Storm I would absolutely be all over this if I'm the Broncos.
They probably don't need another lock forward but Finucane is the kind of player they're screaming out for and you move players around to fit him in as a result.
Can you imagine Haas, Lodge, TPJ and Finucane rolling at you every set? Yikes.

With all due respect to the current Broncos backline, who are the first choice options? I LOVE young Coates but is services are now penned to Melbourne from next year. Farnsworth has started well but Mead and Oates don't scream first-choice options.
Sebastian Kris has shown so much in his early career with the Raiders that I would be reaching out ASAP. Viewed mainly as a centre, Kris can play wing if needed and even looked strong in the back row.
This is kind of signing that won't break the bank whilst providing Walters with a young, aggressive, strong option out wide.
An absolute no-brainer if the Raiders don't quickly re-sign the youngster.
I'm going to cheat a little here but will qualify in saying I would be chasing Reynolds first and foremost. There are reports saying Brisbane are frontrunners for his services but Reynolds could be persuaded to stay in Sydney.
That being said, Brisbane need a halfback. Thomas Dearden is headed to the Cowboys while Anthony Milford also looks set for an exit.
Prior to him re-signing for the Titans, most pundits had Taylor heading north to join Brisbane. It may happen after all, albeit many years and millions of dollars later.
Taylor is still yet to realise his incredible potential however if the Broncos build their side around him, I can see it happening under Kevin Walters. It's almost forgotten just how good Walters was in the pivot role during his playing days.
He has a brilliant kicking game and possibly looks surplus to requirements at the Titans. Worth a go for the right price.
Jamayne Isaako has enjoyed a solid start to the 2021 season at fullback, however was largely overlooked last year meaning he's hardly a rusted on option in the number one.
Nicho Hynes has been quoted as saying that he's looking to establish himself as a run-on player, whether that be in Melbourne or elsewhere.
The Broncos have a spot open at fullback, where I believe Hynes is best suited.
The Broncs hold a lot of trump cards here and will surely go in on the Storm youngster if they see the opportunity. Especially if Craig Bellamy moves to Brisbane.
Hynes immediately transforms the Brisbane backline, adding a ball-playing option they don't currently have. If he delivers on his promise then he could be the long-term option in the custodian role.
If Adam Reynolds is beyond reach, then Kurt Capewell should be the first priority signing for the Broncos.
They have a stacked young forward pack, but with Alex Glenn at 32 years of age and TPJ still seen firstly as a lock, Capewell walks into this side as an 80-minute back-rower.
The Panthers wide-running weapon has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season following a 10/10 Origin series. Simply put, Capewell is the kind of player Brisbane should be falling over themselves to sign.
If reports are true, discussions have started, but if I'm Brisbane, I'm all in on the utility. He becomes the side's top staring second-rower and is an 80-minute player you don't need to worry about.
Salary cap pressures at Penrith mean a star or two will be squeezed out. For the Broncos sake they will be hoping it's the very answer to their needs in Capewell.
