Brisbane's David Fifita is weighing up his future as rival clubs prepare massive offers to poach him away from the club.

Off-contract at the end of next season, he will have to decide between his loyalty to the Broncos or a big-money contract.

The 19-year old has reportedly been tabled a $1 million-a-season offer from the Warriors, while Parramatta are also expected to be in the mix.

The Broncos will begin extension talks with Fifita next month when they get a better idea of their salary cap situation for 2020.

But after handing out big deals to Matt Lodge and Tevita Pangai Jr, Brisbane will be unable to compete with the big offers that come Fifita's way.

“I’m pretty confident Dave will stay here," Lodge told The Courier Mail.

"If he doesn’t I’ll be off him,” he joked.

“I think all of us could have got bigger money elsewhere but money isn’t everything in this game.

“Dave has to do the right thing for him but when he weighs it up, the Broncos are a good place for him and I hope he likes us as a group and wants to stay.”

Fifita's preference is to remain at Red Hill, but the club would need to table a deal worth $700,000 a season to be competitive.

Teammate Corey Oates was also hopeful of seeing Fifita recommit.

“You always take less to stay at the Broncos,” he said.

“I was close to leaving four or five years ago. I got a pretty big offer from Manly at the time but I declined that. I just felt I wasn’t ready to take all the cash and go to Sydney at such a young age.

“Dave will have a lot of money thrown at him but hopefully he makes the right decision.”
