Former Canberra half-back Blake Austin is currently the favourite for the Steve Prescott Man of Steel award in 2019, which is given to the best player of the Super League season.

Austin makes the move to the Warrington Wolves after eight seasons in the NRL, and is currently a clear favourite for the award at 8/1.

St Helens rake James Roby is in second at 14/1, while Castleford's Paul McShane and Warrington's Daryl Clark are both at 16/1 in equal third.

Clark won the award in 2014 while at Castleford, with 2015 winner Zak Hardaker also looking to pick up his second gong with Wigan this season, with the 27-year-old at 20/1 alongside 2012 winner Sam Tomkins and Alex Walmsley.

A host of names check in at 25/1, with new Rhinos recruits Tui Lolohea and Trent Merrin, and new Saint Lachlan Coote all among those outsiders.
