Blake Ferguson was put through the wars in his side's clash against Canberra Raiders on Sunday. The star recruit suffered a broken nose and suspected rib injury during the first half of the game.
Despite administering a pain-killing injection during the half-time break, Ferguson left the field in the 45th minute, unable to see out the game.
When asked about the possibility of star winger Ferguson being fit for the Easter Monday clash against Wests Tigers, Eels coach Brad Arthur wasn’t too positive.
"He got a whack in the ribs early in the game and tried to play on for us and got a needle but couldn't do his job properly so we had to make a change," Arthur said.
"He'll need to get X-rays tomorrow but, yeah, he said it's pretty sore. We'll wait and see if he's in or out next week then we'll worry about it."
Since signing with the Eels from the Sydney Roosters, Ferguson has emerged as a star winger, averaging more than 200 meters per game.
This injury could see the star recruit sidelined for up to six weeks.
