Parramatta have added former South Sydney hooker Matt McIlwrick to the club on a one-year contract.

McIlwrick's inclusion completes the Eels' top 30 squad, after the 27-year-old put pen to paper for the 2019 season.

The hooker has previously played for Canberra, Sydney, Cronulla and Wests Tigers, and was a member of the Rabbitohs despite not playing a first grade game for the club.

The Eels confirmed Reed Mahoney will remain in the No. 9 jersey, with McIlwrick set to provide depth in the position.

  3. Mahoney is a 80 minute hooker. We lost our two back up hookers in Pritchard and Smith.
    Depth signing only and one that was very much needed.
    He will only get game time if we lose Mahoney to injury.

    To be perfectly honest Woody, from a Parra supporters perspective, I was expecting to write off round 3, but from the sound of it, all we need to do is get the groundskeeper to turn the sprinklers on during the game.
    That said, I suspect we may be missing something, and if so, does Moses (or Brown) need to niggle Cronk as well, or was that just for the margin?

Walker a grub, all commentators are of the same opinion that Easts players , re Cronk , Keary got sucked in on a sledge that was really not that bad, even Crichton didn’t mind it, Cronk and Keary hated the fact they were getting beaten by a better team, they are so far up their backsides they couldn’t handle it, Cronk is a fraud , talks all about respect but when the pressure is on his true colors show, typical EASTS ARROGANCE.
