The Parramatta Eels have released winger Bevan French from the remainder of his contract.
23-year-old French will join the Wigan Warriors in the Super League on a two and a half year deal.
French made 47 appearances for the Eels since his debut in May 2016, scoring 35 tries.
"I feel honoured and very excited to have been afforded the opportunity to play for such a great club as Wigan," French said on the Wigan website.
"I am very much looking forward to the challenge and moving forward I am confident that I can contribute to the future success of Wigan in Super League in the next couple of seasons."
"Bevan is an exciting player and, once we were made aware of his availability, we moved quickly to secure his services," said Wigan Executive Director, Kris Radlinski.
"The opportunity has only arisen due to Taulima Tautaiโs departure since we would not have had salary cap space to accommodate another player otherwise. Bevan can play every position in the backline through to the half-backs and weโre delighted to announce that heโll be joining us for the remainder of the season and for another two year after 2019."
To small for NRL.
Should go well in a second rate competition like the ESL.
Who cares…like saying the Red wiggle has been replaced. Same number jersey, different name.
Parra should go after Regan Campbell-Gillard. Penrith are wasting him by playing him off the bench. He would be awesome for the eels and would work well in the middle with Paulo and Brown.
