Manly Warringah Sea Eagles centre Dylan Walker spoke to NRL media regarding his future and being out of contract at the end of 2019. The 24-year-old has been at Manly for the past three years and wishes to remain with the side next season.

“Manly’s been good to me, I love this club and I love the boys around me, and it would be good to stay here,” Walker told NRL media.

“I’m pretty optimistic with what’s going to happen, but things happen for a reason and for me it's just about training hard and working hard here for the boys, because I know how hard they have worked throughout the pre-season and throughout the season.”

Walker made his NRL debut in 2013 for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he remained from 2013 until 2015. Walker then went on to sign a four-year deal with the Sea Eagles starting from 2016. Walker was quite successful early in his career and whilst he has less than four months until he is out of contract, he is not worried about his future.

“I had success pretty early on in my career, I’m still pretty young, so there’s a lot more football to go around”, Walker added.

“When you have that success pretty early, you think it all comes to you, but it doesn’t, you’ve got to work hard for it.”

“I’ve been [at Manly] for the past three years and we’ve made the finals once and got knocked out in the first round and that probably drives me the most.”
