Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are looking to sign a marquee player for 2019, and have set their sights on James Segeyaro, according to The Mole.
The off-contract hooker is yet to sign a new deal with his current team, the Cronulla Sharks, with the Dogs starting to circle.
Segeyaro, 27 years of age, has been at the centre of controversy in recent years, but there's no denying the talent he possesses.
The Sharks have two up and coming hookers in brothers Jayden and Blayke Brailey, therefore suggesting Segeyaro could be forced out of the shire.
The Dogs would benefit greatly from having an experienced hooker such as Segeyaro at the club, as they have struggled to fill the position in recent years.
Michael Lichaa hasn't exactly made the role his own, while halfback Jeremy Marshall-King has been the makeshift hooker over the past few weeks.
Segeyaro could be a great pick up for Canterbury as they look to cement a playing roster for 2019 following salary cap dramas which have plagued a horrid 2018 campaign.
