Penrith's Dallin Watene-Zelezniak has been dropped from both the first-grade and reserve team for his poor form.
And the Daily Telegraph is reporting that it has put question marks over his future at the club, who are believed to be shopping him to Parramatta.
It is understood that the Eels have tabled an offer for the New Zealand international that they deem reasonable but have not yet heard from the Panthers.
Watene-Zelezniak has been okay in his 10 games this season, but was dropped by coach Ivan Cleary following last week's loss to the New Zealand Warriors.
He will join brother Malakai Watene-Zelezniak on the sidelines this weekend, who also can't even get a gig in the NSW Canterbury Cup.
The pair will watch Penrith tackle the Eels at Bankwest Stadium on Thursday night with the knowledge that one of them could end up at the local rivals.
