Melbourne centre Will Chambers could miss as many as five matches after the match review committee came down hard on the Origin star.
In the 37th minute, Chambers was penalised for a crusher tackle on Parramatta's Jarryd Hayne, and has been handed a grade three charge with making dangerous contact to the head or neck of his opponent.
If Chambers takes the early guilty plea, he will receive 382 points and a three-match suspension.
However, if he decides to fight the charge and lose, he could miss five matches.
As it stands, Chambers would miss the opening match of the finals series, providing he enters the early plea.
