Daily Telegraph's Sport Editor-at-large Phil Rothfield believes the Kangaroos' new look side post State of Origin will be dominated by Blues, which could see Australia's side include the most players from New South Wales in it since 2006.
According to Rothfield, the side could have up to 11 Blues players, given the Blues' dominance during the Origin series so far.
James Tedesco at fullback, James Maloney at halfback and Damien Cook at hooker would add a blue tinge to the spine, one that is usually draped in Maroon given Kangaroos legends Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Cooper Cronk and Jonathan Thurston are all Queenslanders.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph on Sunday, Australian coach Mal Meninga said Origin form would certainly bode well for players' possible selections.
“You talk about finals form but I like Origin as a template,” Meninga told dailytelegraph.com.au.
“It’s high pressure footy. To execute under pressure is what we’re looking for.”
Dave Klemmer and Jack de Belin would sit either side of Cook in an all-Blues front row according to Rothfield, while Boyd Cordner and Tyson Frizell would partner Maroon Josh McGuire in the back row.
