Brisbane's Jamayne Isaako, Newcastle's Jesse Ramien and Melbourne's Curtis Scott are three potential targets to bolster Canterbury's backline, according to The Daily Telegraph.

However, all three of these players may prove difficult as Isaako is under contract until 2022 and Ramien is a Knight until the end of the season.

Scott may be more attainable as he seems to be out-of-favor with Melbourne Storm coach Craig Bellamy and has been playing for the Sunshine Coast, Melbourne's feeder team for the last two weeks.

Even with recent injuries to the NRL side, Bellamy has resisted promoting Scott to the main side. There are growing feelings that Scott would be available should Melbourne want to test the market on their 2017 championship player.

Storm co-skipper Jesse Bromwich said of the 21-year-old that “I know for a fact we want to have him around here. I know he’s doing all right. He took having a rest quite harshly but that’s just him, mate.

“He’s a competitor and he wants to be out there (in the NRL) competing," he said.

Ramien also seems like a possibility as he has expressed concern with his little possession this season. But he would provide no immediate relief to the Bulldogs who are in dire need for his positional talents.
