Brisbane forward Joe Ofahengaue has been caught up in a casino cheating controversy and is expected to face a Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.
The Courier Mail first reported the news late on Thursday night, withย Ofahengaue to front the courts on a charge of cheating by fraudulent act, practice or scheme.
It is believed the charge is related to an incident at a blackjack table at the casino.
Broncos CEO Paul White confirmed the news, saying thatย Ofahengaue had contacted the club and alerted them to the incident.
โThe club is aware of the matter and has notified the NRL Integrity Unit about it,โ White said.
โWe will allow due course to run and then determine if any further action is to be taken.โ
