Darius Boyd will not play in tomorrow night’s NRL elimination final against the Penrith Panthers.
Boyd trained with the team at Suncorp Stadium this morning as he attempted to make a return from a hamstring injury suffered two weeks ago.
But coach Wayne Bennett confirmed his injury had not improved enough to convince medical staff he is right to go.
Tevita Pangai junior is also trying to make a comeback from a similar injury and he trained as well this morning, but also seems unlikely.
Both players were not named in the original 17 for the match, with Bennett likely to go with the team he named on Tuesday.
