Cronulla captain Paul Gallen has called an end to his NRL career, after announcing on Friday morning he's set to hang up the boots at the end of the 2019 season.
Following 19 seasons in the NRL, Gallen announced the news on KIIS FM.
“I’m going to retire from rugby league this year,” he said.
“Yeah definitely retiring at the end of the year. I’ve really enjoyed where I’ve been and what I’ve done but I’m ready to retire. I’ve had enough of the rollercoaster to be honest.”
Gallen has played 327 first grade games for the Sharks, after making his debut in round 15, 2001.
MORE TO COME.
