Andrew Fifita has been unsuccessful in having his dangerous contact charge downgraded at a judiciary hearing.

As such, Fifita will be suspended from the Tongan team for their Test match against New Zealand on Saturday and then miss the next two matches for the Sharks in the NRL.

Fifita challenged his grade two charge stemming from a tackle on Canberra’s Ryan Sutton in the eighth minute of the match last Thursday night but unsuccessful in his bid to have his dangerous contact charge downgraded.

Fifita will miss the next three matches but won’t have any carry-over points.
