Manly Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett has revealed he has no intention of leaving the club in the wake of the Penrith Panthers coaching vacancy.

Outgoing Panthers coach Anthony Griffin was sensationally sacked during the week despite his team sitting equal fourth on the ladder.

But Barrett has declared he has no interest in the Panthers job.

"It was a bit of a funny one out there, but that's certainly not our concern what other clubs are doing," he told reporters yesterday.

Barrett was an assistant coach at the Panthers alongside Wests Tigers coach Ivan Cleary, but said he will honour the remaining two years on his current deal.

"I think every coach has been thrown up this week but I'm contracted up here for two years."
