Akuila Uate's days in the NRL are numbered. Unfortunately one of the league's most exciting players is on the way out of the NRL as he's poised to sign a deal with English club Huddersfield.

The 30-year-old entered the league in 2008 and after a shaky start, grew into one of the league's most solid players and a fan-favourite.

Uate made the move to Manly at the start of last season and unfortunately due to their salary cap mess, they will no longer be able to hold onto him and now he sees the best fit for him is to play over in England.

Uate did speak on wanting to sign with a third club in the NRL, however the offer which came in from Huddersfield met all his requirements, and in the end was too good to refuse.

The Fijian was able to win NSW and Kangaroo jerseys during his time in the NRL as well as play for the national Fijian team.

Over his NRL career, Uate scored an impressive 129 tries from 198 first grade games.
