Storm star Will Chambers is facing an undecided future after getting dropped to the bench in Saturday's semi final win over the Eels.

The 31-year old played 14 minutes in the 32-0 victory, and despite being contracted next season, could look at other opportunities, according to The Daily Telegraph.

Coach Craig Bellamy admitted he endured "a few sleepless nights" dumping the veteran.

โ€œI had a few sleepless nights making that decision because of our relationship,โ€ Bellamy said.

โ€œTo his credit, he made it easier on me than he could have, so I appreciate that.

โ€œI donโ€™t want to get too mushy here, but Iโ€™ve coached Will for 12 years and itโ€™s not easy to drop a player who has given this club that much good service โ€” he has done wonderful things for our club.

โ€œI just thought it was the best thing for our team.โ€

Storm skipper vouched for Bellamy.

โ€œHe was pretty distraught about it,โ€ Smith said.

โ€œTo leave him out of the starting side was a really difficult decision for him, but Will, to his credit, handled the week really well.

โ€œHe (Chambers) was really supportive of the decision and was really supportive of Curtis Scott coming into the side.โ€

Curtis Scott came in for a surprise start against Parramatta and impressed on the right edge.

In what has been an up and down year for Scott, the youngster credited his hard work for getting the opportunity.

โ€œI just worked my backside off up there (reserve grade) and forced โ€˜Bellsaโ€™ to pick me pretty much,โ€ Scott said.

โ€œYou certainly have dark days, especially when you get an injury and your name gets tossed around all over the shop but โ€ฆ if I want something, I work my backside off to get it.โ€
