The match review committee has come under fire as NRL champions and prominent commentators Corey Parker and Michael Ennis fiercely debated the system.
The angst comes as Sydney star Jared Waerea-Hargreaves prepares his judiciary challenge in the hope of avoiding a ban.
The 30-year-old was cited for a high tackle late in his side's six-point loss to South Sydney on Thursday.
Former Blues representative Ennis said Waerea-Hargreaves is in hot water.
โHeโs collected him in the head so it is game over for Jared," Ennis told Fox League's The Big League Wrap.
"I canโt see him getting off.
โIโve played the game long enough and Jared plays the game tough but the contact is in the head.โ
However, Broncos legend Parker slammed the system over the charge, arguing similar indiscretions have escaped scrutiny.
โOnly weeks ago Jared led with the head against Josh McGuire and nothing was done because it was Josh McGuire on the ground and we loved it,โ Parker said.
โWe laughed about it saying how good it was and now we are saying Waerea-Hargreaves should be rubbed out.โ
Meanwhile, as Rabbitohs captain Sam Burgess prepares to sit out one game for hair-pulling, Parker said the punishment doesn't fit the crime.
โWe are going to miss Sam Burgess against Jared Waerea-Hargreaves for the kick-off of our finals series, it is ridiculous,โ he said.
โIf this was a preliminary final and he was to miss a grand final for hair-pulling are we serious?โ
The Roosters and Rabbitohs will go into battle once again in Friday night's final at the SCG.
It’s not about what’s right or wrong.
It’s about which club has influence over the NRL and the cases of Hargreaves and Sam Burgess confirms the absurdity of it.
Hargreaves could shoot someone dead on the field and get off.
Ennis is 100% spot on with his assessment of the gr.ub shot as are the majority of media opinions.
Judiciary will be at the bottom of the pit if he gets off.
NRL fans will be demanding their immediate sacking.
The Souths famous colors of 21 premierships are original , copied from the French as confirmed in wikipedia.
Look it up Frankfleabag.
Same goes for the rooster emblem copied from french rugby.
It’s called parasitic.
If the judiciary doesn’t find him guilty given all the pressure from the media and ex players then will be confirmation the system is corrupt .
Absolutely no doubt.
Well Parker is right. How on God’s earth can Josh McGuire get off, with only a fine, and a pittance of a suspension for 3 eye gouging charges, yet Hudson Young received a 5 game suspension for his first eye gouging offense, and he is facing a 20 game suspension for his second offense, if found guilty?
Frankfurter if you think snot is green you better get to your GP quick smart.

The same chickens supporter going on about Burgess 7 times above ,would think that the swinging arm to the back of the head by JWH is fine. He’s a serial offender. That elbowing Reynolds in the throat as Cordner did is also fine.
Laughable, all these ffs (Penriff & Souffs ) supporters ganging up on the Chooks.
Why is it so? … Jealousy
Both clubs have very poor administration, lousy player retention and suffer lying coach syndrome, for starters.
Keary and Gronk will be ecstatic Tetevano has opened the door on 50/50 late shots again.
When they look up and see Su’A and Tetevano coming their way can now know what to expect.
After all, a precedent is a precedent should it be required as evidence.
Chookstool you forgot to mention they also don’t have anyone sitting on the judiciary you cash converter
Wow, just wow. I mean just look at the corruption in the NRL system. By letting this Guy JWH off the hooks, and then placing a ban on Sam Burgess, the NRL have shown blatant and open corruption. Think of it this way, there is finals being played between Roosters and Souths on Friday night, and the corrupt officials of the NRL have banned Souths impact player Burgess, but have allowed Roosters impact player JWH to play despite this JWH knocking a player unconscious. This is insanely Pathetic!!
