Manly have announced the re-signing of winger Jorge Taufua on a two-year deal.

The 27-year-old's extension will see him through until at least the end of the 2021 season, which would be his 10th at the Sea Eagles after debuting in 2012.

Taufua has played 137 games for Manly to date, scoring 77 tries.

โ€œJorge has been a wonderful clubman for many years and we are delighted to have re-signed him for a further two seasons,โ€™โ€™ Manly coach Des Hasler told the club's website.

โ€œHe has been really consistent this season. His experience and game knowledge, both on and off the field, is extremely valuable to our younger players.โ€

  1. To me he is the most frustrating player to watch. Its like he doesn’t give a fcuk. He has the slowest play the ball and ironically knocks on half the time.
Des needs to put him In the second row and sign Jermaine McGilveray

  2. its good and bad.
if he goes, he’ll probably go great for his new club, but if we keep him, he’ll just plodding along.
He’s admitted hes slow and cant out jump most other wingers. hes got a knock on, drop-ball and dropped-catch in him. cant see how there isn’t someone younger coming through that can do better.
However, he is a club cult favorite now, so here’s hoping he keeps his form up (or gets better).

  3. Slowest winger on earth. Second worse bomb taker after Uate and as clumsy as choc dropmough. BUT he is very effective scoring from 10 metres out and one of the biggest hitters in the game. Steve Matai’s clone.
