Parramatta forward Tim Mannah will play out the remainder of the 2019 season will the Eels, according to a statement on the club's website.
Mannah was recently linked with a move away from the Eels - potentially to the Tigers - but Eels CEO Bernie Gurr is excited to see Mannah remain at the club until at least the end of the season.
โWe are delighted that Tim will play out the 2019 season here at the Eels. Tim is in his 11th NRL season with the Eels and continues to be an outstanding contributor to our Club," Burr said.
Mannah also commented on the news, saying he's totally committed to the club in their push for a premiership.
โI am very happy to be staying at the Eels; I am a Parramatta Eels junior and I love our Club. My total commitment is to helping our Club be successful. I appreciate the support from our wonderful Members and fans," Mannah told the club's website.
Thank you Tim for NOT coming to the WT, stay with the Eels and be a one club player….we don’t really need you at the Tigers,
Damn you Tim for not going to the West Tigers.
They needed you more than we do. You would have at least played in first grade if you had joined them.
Great news.
I think he deserves a spot, and coming off the bench has worked really well.
There’s obviously nothing fancy about Timmy’s style, but he’s old school straight and hard, and he makes his tackles.
He bleeds blue and gold and gives 100% (from all accounts on and off the field).
I can understand that we have talent coming through the forwards, and we need a bit of extra muscle, so he’s not going to be part of our future line up (from 2020) but let’s give him every opportunity to get a FG contract at another club (if that’s what he wants) to see out his career, or better yet, start planning his off field position at Parra.
If you go to the Roosters they can only give you $2mill a year.
