Gold Coast have confirmed Head of culture-and-performance and Australian coach Mal Meninga will undertake a "full and comprehensive mid-season review of the Titansโ€™ football operations."

The Titans have slumped to 2-8 on the season, with coach Garth Brennan's position firmly under threat.

Gold Coast have fallen to their worst start in their 12-year history, despite the club aiming for a finals berth before the season began.

Brennan is currently contracted until the end of the 2020 season, but this review could spell the end of his tenure at the Titans.

The Titans released a statement on their website outlining the review, suggesting the on-field performances so far in 2019 haven't met the club's standards for success.

As the first assignment of his expanded role, the Board has asked Mr Meninga to work together with the Clubโ€™s coaches, staff and players to conduct a full and comprehensive review of all Football Department operations and performance with instructions to report back to the Board with his findings and recommendations.

  1. At last a story about the Titans failings! Thank you!
They may not be in self destruct mode like the Panthers, but they’re not a lot better. Especially when you consider the huge amount of players they’ve bought over the last couple of years.
Penrith have mostly just sold off players.
