Fox Sports' Paul Kent has dismissed rumours that the All Blacks' Sonny Bill Williams will return to the Canterbury Bulldogs.

The 33-year old began his NRL career at Canterbury in 2004 before exiting the club to join the French rugby union.

A report by WWOS stated that Williams and the Bulldogs had began informal talks on a possible reunion, however, Kent can't see it happening.

โ€œIt got reported on nine.com.au but itโ€™s totally false, I donโ€™t know where thatโ€™s come from,โ€ Kent toldย NRL360.

โ€œIf Sonny Bill โ€” Iโ€™m not even going to make a stupid bloody suggestion โ€” itโ€™s impossible. Iโ€™d like to see him come back because then I could put my book back on the shelf and hopefully sell a few more. Other than that, itโ€™s not going to happen.โ€

Williams returned to the NRL in 2013 and won a premiership win Sydney, but returned to union in 2015.

The Auckland Blues star was supposed to present Bulldogs players with their jersey's in the club's season opening game against the Warriors, but pulled out due the Christchurch terror attacks.

The Toronto Wolfpack have also thrown their hat in the ring for Williams' services, reportedly tabling a $5 million deal.

โ€œWe are working towards making Sonny Bill Williams a Wolfpack player for 2020. We would love to have him join the Wolfpack family and we will pay whatever it takes to make that happen,โ€ Wolfpack owner David Argyle said last month.

โ€œThe excitement he would bring to the sport of rugby league in this country would be incredible."

  1. He must of changed it. When I read it, it says Sydney. Any way the Roosters are under the cap this season but not enough to compete against Woolfpack in Canada. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘
