Parramatta could be without centre Michael Jennings this weekend after he was charged with a Grade Two - Careless High Tackle in the 54th minute of his side's win over Penrith on Sunday.

Jennings took Panthers forward Isaah Yeo high early in the second half, with the offence carrying a base penalty of 150 points.

If the centre was to plead guilty he would miss one match.

Parramatta have until 12pm on Tuesday to decide whether or not they'll fight the charge.

  1. Fight the charge. Yeo was falling in the tackle and if he hadn’t of been then the hit would have been across his chest. They then should show the panel the four high shots that none if the Riff players were charged over.

  2. Fight the charge and use the Mitchell defence. Sam Burgess had to go off for a test and I can’t see much difference, it was high and the player had to leave the field.

    With M Jennings out

  4. I really don’t think we should be messing with the spine. Gutho needs the opportunity to make the position his own. Salmon is back this week and trained at centre all off season so I think he will slot in there.

I also think Paulo will come straight in for Brown (Tepai to lock). Mannah played well on Sunday except for that terrible attempted offload, he shouldn’t be dropped.

  7. I agree Eels that we should leave the spine as is, and as short as we are with “genuine” centres, and even with options for wingers, I think we have to keep Fergo on the wing, keep Taka’s at centre and run Salmon, or even G. Jennings (whilst not ideal) at centre, assuming M. Jennings is out.
Brown is a huge loss, and whilst I like/rate many of our forwards they, for the most part at least, have 1 thing in common, and that’s the “workhorse” style of forward.
I could write a novel, and just about did before just saying this, I think we should start Gower at lock. I think he offers more of an “x factor” than Tepai

  8. Yes Kev.
This is coming from someone who uses ‘RIF’ , virtually every time he writes something on here. When that’s not even a word. So I thought I better use something that you may understand? Anything else may have been to complicated for you.
It was also just to remind you that’s it’s not just others who complain about things that happen , in or after games.
