North Queensland have added Nene Macdonald to their roster for the 2019 season, after the St George winger signed a three-year deal.
Macdonald was already contracted for the 2019 season at the Dragons, although the club allowed him to leave and head home to be closer to his family.
The 24-year-old has played 91 NRL over six seasons for the Roosters, Titans and Dragons, and has 31 tries to his name during that time.
Cowboys head coach Paul Green was thrilled to help bring Macdonald home for next season and bewyond.
"He's a North Queensland kid and we like North Queenslanders representing this region," Green told cowboys.com.au.
"Nene is going to offer plenty of depth to our backline and had a fantastic year for the Dragons.
"I know him on a personal level after coaching him in the under 20s at the Roosters and am confident he will be a good cultural fit for our club as well."
