Canterbury five-eighth Matt Frawley is currently considering his options for the 2019 season, given his Bulldogs contract runs out at the end of the season.
With the Bulldogs loaded in the halves department and Newcastle No. 6 Jack Cogger joining the club next season, it seems unlikely the 23-year-old remains at Belmore next season.
According to NRL.com, Frawley's manager is communicating with a number of NRL clubs, and Frawley himself said he'd rather exhaust all his options in Australia before heading overseas to play.
"Ideally I probably would've liked to have it sorted a little bit earlier than now but a few things are happening so it will be sorted in the next couple of weeks," Frawley told NRL.com.
"You have to assess all your options as there's plenty of competition here (at Canterbury) for spots in the halves.
"[My manager] has had discussions with different clubs and here.
"Obviously my first choice is to stay in Australia but if an opportunity come up elsewhere then I'd have to assess it. I'm still pretty young and I see myself as a player that could play in the NRL."
Frawley played 18 NRL games during his first season at the Dogs in 2017, and has backed it up with 11 games this season.
