The Canterbury Bulldogs have re-signed emerging halfback Lachlan Lewis for a further two years, tying him at the club until the end of the 2020 season.
Nephew of the iconic Wally Lewis, 21-year old Lachlan has enjoyed a breakout season for the Bulldogs, demonstrating stout defence and impressive vision.
Bulldogs chief executive Andrew Hill was thrilled to lock away one of the club's most exciting young pieces.
"Despite being only 21 years of age, Lachie has shown that he has the desire and ability to be a big part of our club going forward," Hill told bulldogs.com.au.
"He has transitioned well into our NRL squad in recent weeks and his signing is a positive sign for what lies ahead for the club, as well as another important stage of our recruitment process for next season."
Lewis made his NRL debut this season and has played three games over the campaign.
