Paramatta playmaker Corey Norman believes that rumours about him being traded will go away once the Eels start winning.
Normanย brushed off claims, insisting there is no issues between him, coach Brad Arthur or the club.
"I donโt read about that at all, I donโt read into that, I get told it," Norman told the Sydney Morning Herald.
"I know my relationship with Brad is good and that Brad is very honest. The allegations getting about โ like if I was getting shopped around โ he would be the first person to come to me and tell me.
"I donโt read too much into that."
Norman also refuted reports that he could be heading to the Raiders to rejoin forces with Ricky Stuart, bit he simply identifies himself as a scapegoat for the Eelsโ poor performance.
"Nah, the first time I heard it was when someone came up to me and asked me about it," Norman said.
"It was one of my mates, I think.
"Weโre an easy target at the moment. When a side loses five in a row, anyone can say anything.
"Itโs easy to say because youโre losing, you know what I mean?
"A lot of people are starting to stick their two cents in because itโs easy to do, weโve lost five in a row."
The winless Eels sit last on the ladder and will be desperate to record their first win against the Raiders this Saturday.
Despite their horror start, Norman still has an eye for the finals.
"Thatโs what weโre thinking as a team," Norman said.
"If we weren't thinking that, it would be outrageous. I know the coaching staff all the way down to the players are thinking that.
"Itโs only round six. I know weโve lost five, but we just need that one win. Weโre working our backsides off to get it. When we get it, it will click and everything will roll from there."
Although the Eels showed improvement in their loss to Penrith, they were unable to turn their pressure into points, which leaves Norman searching for answers.
"If I could have been able to tell you why, we would have fixed it four or five weeks ago," Norman said.
"Itโs one of those things that it hasnโt clicked, but I thought on the weekend we created a few opportunities and bombed them. Had we taken them, the outcome could have been different
"My form has been below par. Iโve said that before, I take full credit for that.
"Iโm training hard during the week and itโs just not coming off. Thatโs the frustrating thing at the moment. Around here weโre training so hard and itโs just not coming off for us. Hopefully, we can go down there this week and put another good performance in."
