The Manly Sea Eagles have announced the signing of exciting young half Lachlan Croker for 2018 on a one-year deal.

A former NSW U18s and U20s player, the skilful five-eighth/half-back has also represented the Australian U20s team.

Croker made his NRL debut for the Canberra Raiders in the win over the Sydney Roosters at GIO Stadium in round two of the 2016 season.

A player with a great running and kicking game, Croker will be looking to further his NRL career at the Sea Eagles after playing the past two seasons for Mounties in the Intrust Super Premiership.

A Goulburn junior, Croker is the nephew of former Canberra Raiders forward Jason Croker.

Sea Eagles Regional Scout Scott Fulton said Croker offers tremendous utility value.

โ€œLachlan is a very good player who has come to Manly looking for an opportunity,โ€™โ€™ Fulton said.

โ€œHe is a player with plenty of pace who can cover several positions including half, five-eighth, and hooker.โ€
