Ryley Jacks will be rested this weekend as he aims to recover from a groin injury.

The 25-year-old took a niggle into Saturdayโ€™s game and was able to play through, helping to guide Storm to a golden point win over the Cowboys.

Jacks was not named in the initial 23-man squad to face the Roosters but should be back in contention for a return in the coming weeks.

โ€œTo his credit, he took a groin injury into the game on the weekend and it probably affected him a little bit at times,โ€ Craig Bellamy said.

โ€œHe hurt an ankle in the game as well so that probably didnโ€™t help him at stages but it just goes to show what a tough kid he is, obviously heโ€™s got the team at heart.

โ€œHe has been really sore this week so I think he needs a week or two off to get that groin right because we are going to need him at some stage this year, especially with an another game without our Origin boys.โ€
