  1. Dan, you know I think very highly of you but I think any suggestion that Talatau Amone’s situation is hilarious is in poor taste.

  2. Maybe Dan expressed himself badly.

Amone was arrested over an alleged assault near his home in Warrawong.
He was charged with one count each of reckless grievous bodily harm in company, damaging property and intimidation.

He was granted strict conditional bail and ordered to pay a surety of $100,000 for his release. As part of his release conditions, he was ordered to report to the local police station three times a week and remain living at his home with his mother unless training or playing games with the Dragons.

His father, Talatau ‘Dal’ Amone, was arrested and charged over the same incident at the time of the alleged attack.

    What is hilarious is that:

    a) Dragons thought that there was ANY chance of the NRL allowing them ANY dispensation for a player charged with this sort of offence.

    b) Dragons thought that lodging such a stupid appeal was not going to jeopardise the chance of a successful appeal for dispensation for Cody Ramsay’s not availability for season 2023, due to a career-threatening medical condition.
