North Queensland Cowboys

Blockbusting North Queensland Toyota Cowboys forward Jason Taumalolo has won consecutive Paul Bowman Medals after being named the 2017 Cowboy of the Year at the clubโ€™s Presentation Ball.

Taumalolo, 24, won the clubโ€™s highest individual honour ahead of teammate Michael Morgan following another stellar season, where he became the first forward in the NRL to pass 5,000 running metres for the season.

The award has capped an outstanding two years for the young tyro, who was last year jointly named โ€“ alongside Melbourneโ€™s Cooper Cronk โ€“ the best player in the game.
