Jake Friend won his second Jack Gibson Medal, after also winning the award back in 2011. Friend amassed more than 200 tackles then any other player across the NRL this season and led the Roosters in try assists with 12.
Mitchell Aubusson also won Clubman of the Year and became the first player in the Award's history to win it three times.

Mitchell Moses was awarded the Player of the Year Award in only his second full season in the NRL. Moses also picked up the Player's Player of the Year Award for a stellar season involving a team-high 18 assists, which also put Moses in the top five in that category across the league.

The Trbojevic brothers took out the top two awards this season, with brothers Tom and Jake having outstanding seasons.
Tom Trbojevic took home the Player of the Year award just 12 months after being named the club's Rookie of the Year. 'Turbo' scored 10 tries this season and was a key player for the Sea Eagles playing either on the wing or at fullback.
Tom's brother Jake was handed the Player's Player of the Year for his fantastic season. Trbojevic was instrumental and played in all but one of Manly's matches in 2016, with the brothers hoping to step it up another level next season.

After a very impressive season at both club and representative level, Dane Gagai won Newcastle's Player's Player of the Year Award.
Gagai scored four tries over Queensland's State of Origin winning series, and also represented the Indigenous All-Stars in 2016.

Simon Mannering has won a record fifth Player of the Year Award for the Warriors after a brilliant 2016 season.
As the only player to win the award more than twice, Mannering was once again a shining light for the Warriors, topping 1000 tackles for the second straight season.

Eels second-rower Manu Ma'u has taken home the NRL Player's Player of the Year Award after an impressive season in 2016.
Ma'u played 22 games for Parramatta and lead the team in runs this season, and was no doubt a shining light for the Eels in an otherwise disappointing and controversial season.
Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs

Bulldogs forward David Klemmer took out the top award at the club's presentation night on Thursday night following a stellar season.
Klemmer played in 22 games for the Bulldogs in 2016 and made a huge impact, carrying the ball forward 366 times, making 3413m and 540 tackles in defence at an average of 25.7 per game.
Canberra Raiders

Raiders players Josh Hodgson and Josh Papalii have taken out the prestigious Meninga Medal for the Raiders best player, with the joint winners capping off one of the closest Medal counts in club history.
Hodgson and Papalii both polled 19 votes for the season, edging out Jordan Rapana and Joey Leilua on 17 points, with Jack Wighton (14) and Jarrod Croker (13) rounding out the top six.
The combination of Leilua and Rapana could not be separated in the voting and they were also announced joint Coaches Award winners, after a stunning season on the right edge for the Green Machine.

Ryan James has crowned his best season since debuting for the Titans in 2010 by winning the prestigious Paul Broughton Medal tonight as the club’s best player for 2016.
He was one of four players who participated in all of the Titans’ 25 matches in 2016 along with Paasi, Josh Hoffman and Chris McQueen.
James’ victory continued the prop forwards’ dominance of the award, taking the front-rowers’ tally to six medals in 10 years after Luke Bailey (2007, 2010, 2011), Nate Myles (2012) and Luke Douglas last season.

Panthers forward Trent Merrin has been awarded the 2016 Merv Cartwright Medal after an outstanding debut season for the club.
Merrin played 25 games for the Panthers in 2016, finishing with five tries, 56 offloads, 861 tackles and 3891 running metres.
With enthusiasm and passion, he embraced the role of leading the young and relatively inexperienced Panthers forward pack into battle every week.

In a first for the Cronulla Sharks Club two players have shared the main award at the 2016 Presentation Night.
Front rowers Matt Prior and Andrew Fifita, players with vastly different styles but who were both integral to the Sharks premiership success this season, have been declared joint winners of the Monty Porter Medal and Pontifex Player of the Year Award.

Australian Kangaroos, Queensland Maroons and Brisbane Broncos star fullback Darius Boyd has won the club’s prestigious end-of-season Player of the Year Award and Best Back Award at Friday night’s Presentation Ball.
The Broncos custodian has been an absolute rock in defence at the back disarming opposition bombs, grubbers and charges at the tryline, while chiming perfectly into attacking backline moves to panic and shred enemy defences.
South Sydney Rabbitohs

For the second time in his Rugby League career, Rabbitohs forward Sam Burgess has been named Best and Fairest and awarded the 2016 George Piggins Medal.
This is Sam’s second award for the night also winning the 2016 Jack Rayner Players’ Player Award. This will be Sam’s 11th Rabbitohs award.
Sam becomes just the third player to have won the George Piggins Medal on multiple occasions, level with team mate Greg Inglis with two wins in 2013 and 2015, and behind team mate and back row partner John Sutton who has won the prestigious award on three occasions in 2009, 2012 and 2013.

Jason Taumalolo, the joint 2016 Dally M medallist, has been recognised at club level for his outstanding form, with the hard-running lock collecting two major player awards at the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ annual end-of-season Presentation Ball tonight.
Just over a week after being named the game’s best player – alongside Melbourne Storm playmaker Cooper Cronk – 23-year-old wrecking ball Taumalolo was awarded the Paul Bowman Medal, given annually to the Cowboy of the Year, at a glittering event at the Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre.
Leading the NRL in running metres in 2016, Taumalolo produced a devastating 2016 campaign, playing in all 27 Cowboys games to help his team to the preliminary final.

St George Illawarra Dragons second-rower Tyson Frizell has been named recipient of the Club’s ‘Player of the Year’ Medal at the annual end of season Presentation Night on Friday.
The local Corrimal Cougars junior was selected by both his peers and coaching staff following a stand out season that included three tries, 694 tackles, 220 runs and 2,009 metres in total throughout season.
Fullback Josh Dugan was named as the Red V Members ‘Player of the Year’ following a strong year which saw him end the season having made 314 runs for 2,894 metres in 17 games for the Club.

Jesse Bromwich has been crowned Storm’s Player of the Year for a third consecutive season, edging captain Cameron Smith in a close vote count at Storm’s end of year awards ceremony on Saturday night.
The New Zealand international polled 14 votes in his first eight games before finishing on 31 to be named the Club’s best player for the 2016 season. It is yet another accolade in what has been yet another stellar season for Bromwich.
As well as being named the 2016 Dally M Prop of the Year he was handed the New Zealand captaincy in May’s Trans Tasman test and will again lead the Kiwis at the Four Nations tournament later this month.
