The Sydney Roosters have today announced that dynamic young utility Connor Watson has extended his arrangement with the Club until at least the end of 2018.

20-year-old Watson expressed his delight at extending his contract with the Tricolours.

โ€œIโ€™m very excited to extend my time with the Roosters,โ€ said Watson.

โ€œIโ€™m learning so much from Robbo and the coaches, and this is where I want to build a career.

โ€œI know I still have a lot of improvement in me, and hopefully Iโ€™ll keep learning and improving and secure an opportunity to play some good footy for the Roosters,โ€ he added.

Roosters Head Coach Trent Robinson said it was exciting to have Watson extend his arrangement with the Club.

โ€œIโ€™ve really enjoyed watching Connorโ€™s development over the last few years,โ€ said Robinson.

โ€œConnor is a natural ball runner who trains hard. Heโ€™s also a great young man, so Iโ€™m really looking forward to continuing to work with him and watching his development over the next few seasons,โ€ he added.

Watson made his NRL debut in round 7 of the 2016 season, playing 16 games in his rookie year.
